Dental Anxiety Management
For a lot of people, going to the dentist is something they don’t look forward to. Perhaps it’s due to past experiences or simply the idea of having someone they don’t know look around inside their mouth.
We understand, and we’ve taken several steps to help you feel as relaxed as possible. From the overall friendly vibe of our practice to the way we’ve designed our rooms, you’ll constantly be greeted by a compassionate team that puts your needs first.
What to Expect
Nearly everyone feels nervous when they see a new dentist for the first time. We don’t pretend that’s not true. Instead, we help familiarise you with our team and practice setup so that there aren’t any unknowns.
If it helps you feel better, we can book you for an initial consultation where we simply talk about your oral health but don’t perform any treatment. You’ll get a chance to see how things go and become more comfortable with our office environment before taking the next steps.
We’ll never rush or force you into getting a treatment you don’t want or need.
To better serve you and keep you comfortable, we ask that you share any past negative experiences that you’ve encountered so that we can keep those from being repeated. You shouldn’t ever feel embarrassed by allowing us to better accommodate you.
Sit Back and Enjoy the View
Our clinical rooms have a television mounted on the ceiling so that you can take a virtual walking tour of Paris or check out a calming coral reef while you lie back and relax. The added distractions help you keep your mind off of everything else going on around you.
Kinesiology Sessions
Some individuals suffer from anxiety that prevents them from getting the care they need. Our kinesiologist can have a session with those patients to help them find new ways to relax their bodies and lower the tension building up inside.
A Place Where Your Dentist Understands
The environment and staff of a dental practice can have a massive impact on your unique comfort and anxiety level. Our dentists, team and kinesiologist are committed to helping you work through any related dental phobia so that you can keep your smile as healthy as you deserve.
